West Virginia Chief Justice Evan Jenkins has appointed Judge Maryclaire Akers to a seven-year term in West Virginia’s Business Court Division. A copy of the news release announcing Judge Akers appointment can be found here. Judge Akers will be replacing Judge James H. Young, Jr., whose term ends tomorrow. Judge Young has served on the Business Court since its inception, and had requested that he not be reappointed.
The other West Virginia Business Court Division Judges include the Honorable Michael D. Lorenson (Business Court Division Chair), Paul T. Farrell, H. Charles Carl, III, Jennifer P. Dent, and Shawn D. Nines.
