As noted in a previous post, Oklahoma passed SB 473 this summer, which authorized the creation of a business court task force. Governor Kevin Stitt recently created that task force: an 11-member group that includes lawyers and judges and is chaired by state representative Jon Echols.
The task force will study the state’s current court structure as well as other states’ business courts, and it will issue an initial report by January 1, 2025. A final report with recommendations will be provided by January 1, 2026.
