On October 1, 2024, Utah’s Business and Chancery Court (BCC) opened its doors. As noted in a prior post, Judge Rita Cornish is serving as the BCC’s first judge. Utah’s legislature created this specialized commercial court in 2023 by enacting 2023 HB 216, with the objective of creating a dedicated forum for the efficient resolution of complex business matters.
